Fort Bliss Museum (And welcome Bronwen!)

Brendan's sister, Bronwen, arrived in town for a visit on Friday. She hasn't been in El Paso for over 5 years, so we're really excited she could make the trip. We took her to see the Fort Bliss Museum where they have recently added more exhibts about Operation Iraqi Freedom and, specifically, Brendan's unit during the initial invasion way back in March/April 2003.

Brendan showing us a map of the Operations. His unit (C/2-1 ADA) is shown moving from the Kuwait border to just south of Baghdad. At the time, I had no idea where he was. (Well, I had some sort of an idea, obviously, but it was a scary time.)

Brendan's battery mentioned in the timeline of events.

Brendan's battery was very near to where the 507th Maintenance Company (Jessica Lynch, etc.) was ambushed. Here is the hood of one of the vehicles from the 507th. You can see they wrote directly onto it to keep track of the MIAs and KIAs.

And just one of Emma and daddy, looking so sweet. :)
